Cs Elite - A Preface

THE BIRTH OF CS ELITE

February 28, 2003. Lakeview, Mahatma Gandhi Road, Bangalore. Seven students pursuing the profession of company secretaries met together. The students were not familiar with each other, but they met because they had a common PURPOSE - enhancing interaction amongst the students (“Students”) of the Bangalore Chapter of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (“Chapter”). It was an informal meet with the objective of knowing each other and sharing their common perspective on the subject in hand. The meet lasted for around 120 minutes. The result was the formation of a small students’ group – CS ELITE.

Days passed by, meetings continued, discussions intensified, decisions finalized and the unity within the group strengthened. It was unanimously felt within CS ELITE that constant interaction amongst the Students inter se would fructify only if regular activities are organized for the Students to meet and interact. Keeping this in mind, CS Elite has organized various events like:

(a) Bi-annual Picnic;
(b) Seminar, titled “HOW TO CRACK PROFESSIONAL EXAMINATION”, in association with the Chapter;
(c) A fortnightly discussion meet for the Students, titled – MEET TO KNOW (MTK).

CS Elite was the proud facilitation committee of 2 All-Karnataka Students’ conference – MILAAP 2005 and MILAAP 2006 and 7th All-India Students’ Conference – UDAAN.

A continuous and an easy mode of communication amongst the Students was the life-blood of CS Elite. The result was the commencement of an on-line yahoo group –
csoutlook@yahoogroups.com, with a modest database of around 10 Students. Today, the group boasts of a database of around 250 Students. CS ELITE’s email id is cselite@gmail.com.

The youthfulness in CS Elite is alive and justified by continuous induction of new members. Currently, CS Elite has ten members within its fold.

Amongst all the success CS ELITE has had since its inception, the most inspiring of all is its very existence for over 3 years and is still going strong…
